Dr. Campo obtained his medical qualification (MD) with magna cum laude in 1983 at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium and obtained his board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Düsseldorf, Germany. He was there the initiator and responsible person of the university ART program and worked in the microsurgery department until 1990. Since 1990 he has become the clinical director of the Leuven Institute for Fertility and Embryology (LIFE) where he is responsible for the IVF lab and the ambulatory reproductive surgical unit under his wing. Since 2007 he has also become a consultant for endoscopic surgery and IVF at the ZOL hospital in Genk, Belgium.

Dr. Campo is one of the internationally recognized hysteroscopic surgeons with extensive experience in hysteroscopic procedures, reconstructive surgery and hysteroscopic trans-myometrium endometrial exploration. His current research interests focus on reproductive assisted technologies, endoscopic surgery and training and education.
